Job Description

DataQuarry Analytics Ltd., a remote-first UK-based data science consultancy, is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to lead development of advanced machine learning solutions across predictive analytics, generative AI, model optimization, and automated data pipelines.

You will collaborate with distributed teams across the UK, EU, and North America to design, train, and deploy machine learning systems used in fintech, healthcare, sustainability, and e-commerce environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development of predictive models, forecasting systems, and ML-driven automation.
  • Oversee end-to-end data workflows, from ingestion to modelling and deployment.
  • Work on generative AI and LLM fine-tuning projects for clients.
  • Build scalable pipelines and model monitoring systems using modern MLOps tools.
  • Conduct feature engineering, model evaluation, and experimentation at scale.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into ML solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and data governance best practices.
  • Mentor junior data science team members.

Required Technical Skills

  • Expert-level Python for ML (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow).
  • Strong background in statistics and machine learning theory.
  • Experience deploying ML models into cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data engineering workflows and SQL-based datasets.
  • Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes in production-level environments.
